Wherever there's an author promoting a book, there's also a camera....

In the recording studio for Clipper Audio with
narrator Geoff Annis. An
interview will be included in the audio version of ONE LAST BREATH.

Above and below are two pictures from a visit
to Bury Central
Library, in my old home county of Lancashire. I noticed they
seemed to have no men in Bury, as this was one of my 100 per
cent female audiences. But they did have black puddings...

Back home, signing copies of ONE LAST BREATH
at my local
independent bookshop, Bookworm. This is the only place in the
world where my books sell better than Harry Potter.

No expense was spared for the launch of ONE
LAST BREATH in
Toronto, Canada. Publishers HarperCollins employed a leading
pavement artist to reproduce the cover of the book on the sidewalk.
And they even let me stand outside the door of this expensive
restaurant and sniff the food.

Phillip Margolin, author of SLEEPING BEAUTY,
and me with
the 'boss' - HarperCollins publicist Lisa Zaritzky (okay, they did
let us into the restaurant in the end).

With fellow authors Jon Evans, Phillip
Margolin and Eric Rill before an
event at the University of Toronto.

Stacks of ONE LAST BREATH waiting to be signed
at the great Toronto mystery
bookstore Sleuth of Baker Street.
Left Coast Crime 2004, Monterey, California

Left Coast Crime in Monterey was thronged with
members of my favourite
internet group, 4Mystery Addicts. Above, a 4MA lunch on the last day of
the
convention with other authors, including
Con Lehane on my left, Lee Child
two places further down the table, and Simon Wood near right.

A crowded table at the official 4MA dinner on the night before LCC.

Well, it must be lunchtime again...

And just in case you think I spend all
my
time at conventions eating, here's a photo
taken in the bar.

"This water will calm her down a
bit." With author Elaine
Flinn following a panel. Elaine ruined her reputation by
claiming publicly that I was one of her favourite writers.
